Skiing
Racing, freeriding, and teaching — since age 3
I've been skiing since I was 3 years old. I grew up ski racing on the east coast and my senior year of high school I was one of the 10 best racers in the division — even though racing was never really my passion. I love skiing for the freedom it gives you. It's just you and the mountain.
Skiing played a huge part in my decision to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder, and it will always be my happy place. I love sharing it with anyone willing to get out with me. I've done volunteer work with the Ignite program at Eldora — mostly as a snowboard instructor when they had a shortage. I took up snowboarding at 12 and consider myself an expert. On the slopes I mainly taught snowboarding to students from the Colorado Center for the Blind.
